How to fix P1738
- Use an HDS scan tool to monitor 2nd clutch pressure switch state during the 1-2 shift
- Test switch continuity with hydraulic pressure applied and released
- Check the signal wire for opens or shorts between the switch and the PCM
- Replace the 2nd clutch pressure switch if it fails the state test
